Who we are
UKHS Plumbing & Heating is operated by UK HOME SAVE LIMITED, company number 09422541. We are responsible for the personal information covered by this notice. Contact us at info@ukhsplumbingandheating.com or 07494 144363.
This notice covers use of our website and initial enquiries to our business.
Information we collect
When you request a callback, we ask for your name, telephone number, postcode, the service you need and your message. You may also provide an email address. If you contact us by phone or email, we use the information you provide and our correspondence about your enquiry. Please do not include payment details, passwords or unnecessary sensitive information in the website form.
The enquiry form uses a hashed version of your IP address as a short-lived rate-limit marker to help prevent repeated submissions. This marker is valid for 60 seconds. The form emails the enquiry; it does not create a separate enquiry database.
Why we use your information
We use enquiry information to respond, check availability in your area, discuss the work and prepare a quote or other next step you request. Where this is necessary to take steps you request before entering a contract, that is our lawful basis. For general enquiries, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to customers and managing enquiries. These interests do not override your data-protection rights. Providing information is voluntary, but we need sufficient contact and job details to respond.
We rely on our legitimate interest in protecting the website from abuse for the short-lived rate-limit marker.
Who receives it
Website enquiries are sent to info@ukhsplumbingandheating.com and handled by our team. We do not pass your enquiry to other businesses as a sales lead. Our website-hosting and email-service providers process information needed to run the website and deliver or store our correspondence. Incoming email for our domain is served by 20i’s Stackmail platform. This operational processing is separate from sharing enquiries with other businesses for their own sales or marketing.
How long we keep it
We retain unsuccessful enquiries and related correspondence for 12 months. This period concerns unsuccessful enquiries, not separate records created for a booked job.
Website storage and analytics
The website has cookie-preference controls for essential storage and optional analytics. With your analytics consent, Google Analytics helps us understand website use, such as pages visited, interactions, and browser or device information. You can reject optional analytics or change your choice using Cookie preferences. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out lawfully.
Google Analytics uses first-party cookies, including _ga and _ga_22NT1YT642, to distinguish browsers and maintain session information. These use Google’s default two-year expiry, although browser restrictions or clearing site data can shorten this.
Analytics event data is retained for two months. User-level data is retained for 14 months, with that period restarting when there is new user activity. These controls do not set the retention of aggregated standard reports.
Your preference is saved in your browser’s local storage as ukhs-consent-v1. The website treats this choice as valid for 180 days, then asks again. The stored entry can remain in the browser until it is replaced or you clear your site data; it is not automatically deleted at 180 days.
The automated service guide uses information from this website. Its text is processed in your browser rather than being sent as an enquiry to our team. A session-storage flag, ukhs-chat-opened, remembers whether the guide has opened during the tab session.
Google operates internationally and may process Analytics information outside the UK. See Google’s published information about international data transfers: https://business.safety.google/adsdatatransfers/.
Your rights and complaints
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restricted use, or a portable copy. You can withdraw consent where we rely on it.
Your right to object: you can object to our use of your information where we rely on legitimate interests.
Contact info@ukhsplumbingandheating.com to make a request or raise a concern. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/.
